The new realm runs stock 1.11b, with a few modifications - exp has been slightly increased, drop rates slightly increased, and there have been minor modifications to some existing items.
All of these changes are server-side only, meaning NO modification is needed to your 1.11b D2 install to play. Just connect to the Odin's Realm server like usual (use the odins.reg file, or modify your gateway manually), and select the "1.11" realm from the character select screen. Remember to choose the "Valhalla" realm when you want to play on the mod server.
An account registration page has been added to the site to assist anyone having problems registering in game for whatever reason. Just follow the
create account link from the home page and follow the prompt.
Further, I now have a teamspeak voice chat server running if anyone wants to use it while playing etc. To connect just download the
Teamspeak 2 client, and connect to the server at ts.odinbsd.net.
IRC has also seen an update, with functioning services, so you can now create a user name & secure your nickname forever and ever. After connecting to IRC just type /msg userserv help and /msg nickserv help for information on registering your username/nick.
Lastly, we're in dire need of some well written connecting/server information guides for the bnet server etc, and I'm having trouble finding time to do it myself. If anyone is interested in helping the server grow by writing some guides, making screen shots, drop me a PM or get on IRC. Anyone that helps out will get voice in IRC (so you can be one of the cool kids) & maybe an @odinbsd.net email account or possibly some in-game items.
